About OptimusBT
To accelerate Optimus BT and the eContracts management software, I was assigned to the UI/UX design and software development team to help execute a complete UI redesign of the eContracts software. Enterprises that have been utilizing the software have reported a large increase in the array of management tools and overall functionality but they also complained about the antiquated user-interface design and the steep learning curve associated with completing simple tasks. Users reported that they feel lost in a dizzying array of complex contract management tools without a straightforward way to navigate all the content.

The UI/UX team members and I conducted a series of interviews with some of the enterprise clients to identify the main issues that the users had with the overall application. We isolated several areas that could help improve the overall user experience and also how to add additional features without resulting in an overwhelming and crowded interface. The main design idea that we found to be popular among existing users was the idea of a customizable dashboard that would have various widgets. The user would have an array of widgets to select from and they could customize their dashboard to fit the exact specifications and preferences of their company and workflow.

Design Process
I took the idea of a customizable dashboard and created a more concrete visual interface that would more closely resemble the actual eContracts management software. I created these high-fidelity prototype screens using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD.

Proposed Solutions
We did a final round of user testing with the more high-fidelity interactive screens and we isolated the elements of the website design that did not resonate as well with the enterprise users. We made sure our final design matched up with both the goals of the company and the needs of our users.
